This traditional technique involves carefully removing material to trace intricate designs directly into the metal. Executed by hand by Plisson artisans, the decoration lends the handle a delicate textured relief and distinctive elegance, beautifully highlighted by the palladium finish.

High Mountain White Fibre is distinguished by its suppleness, durability and exceptionally soft tips. Developed to recreate the sensation of the finest natural badger hair, it is particularly suitable for sensitive skin and offers an alternative free from animal hair. Its excellent lathering properties allow shaving soaps and creams to be worked into a rich, dense and creamy lather. Applied to the face, this lather helps soften and lift beard hair in preparation for shaving. Easy to maintain, the fibres also dry quickly, making them particularly practical for everyday use.

Available in standard size 12, ideal for daily shaving, this brush features a removable, screw-mounted knot. This system, also found on shaving brushes from the Joris collection, allows the knot to be replaced when worn while preserving the original handle. For optimal shaving results, prepare your face with warm water, ideally after a shower, to soften the beard hair and facilitate lather preparation.

With shaving soap: dampen the High Mountain White Fibre knot with warm water, then work the brush in moderate circular motions over the soap, directly in its bowl, without pressing down excessively on the fibres. Continue until a rich, creamy lather develops. Apply the lather to the damp face using circular movements for one to two minutes to distribute the product evenly, soften the beard hair and gently lift it in preparation for shaving.

With shaving cream: after dampening the shaving brush with warm water, place a small amount of cream onto the tip of the knot. Work the cream directly onto the face using circular motions for one to two minutes. Alternatively, apply a small amount of cream to each cheek or into a shaving bowl before working it into a lather with the brush.

Once the lather has been evenly distributed, shave using your preferred razor with precise, controlled movements and without excessive pressure. Reapply shaving lather before any additional pass.

After each use, rinse the knot thoroughly with warm water to remove all traces of shaving soap or cream. Avoid very hot water, which may damage the synthetic fibres.

Gently shake the brush to remove excess water, then lightly brush the knot against a clean towel without pulling or crushing the fibres. Place the shaving brush on a suitable stand with the knot facing downwards to encourage thorough drying.

To preserve the brilliance of the palladium finish and the intricate details of the tile pattern, gently wipe the handle with a soft cloth after use. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning products and rubbing that could damage the surface or the relief of the guilloché decoration. Do not leave the shaving brush immersed in water for prolonged periods.

Choose soaps and creams specifically formulated for traditional wet shaving and avoid products with an excessively acidic pH, as they may weaken the synthetic fibres. Store the shaving brush in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from persistent moisture.
