For an optimal shave, thoroughly wet the shaving brush with warm water, ideally after a shower when warmth and moisture have helped soften the beard hair and prepare the skin.

Remove the knot from its storage position and screw it onto the handle before use. Thoroughly wet the shaving brush with warm water, then work your shaving soap or cream into a rich, creamy lather using circular motions.

Apply the lather evenly to damp skin using circular motions. The shaving brush helps lift the beard hair, distribute the lather evenly and prepare the skin for shaving.

After each use, rinse the shaving brush knot thoroughly with warm water to remove any remaining soap or shaving cream. Avoid excessively hot water, which may affect the qualities of the natural hair.

Gently shake off excess water without pulling on the hair, then lightly dry the knot on a bath towel. Allow it to air-dry as much as possible before placing it back inside the handle.

For travel, unscrew the knot and store it inside the handle designed to protect it. Its ventilation system encourages air circulation and helps moisture escape during storage. Wipe the handle dry after use to help preserve the lustre of its chrome finish.

The choice of shaving soap is also important: an excessively acidic pH can weaken the hair and lead to premature shedding. Choose a soap or cream suitable for traditional wet shaving to help preserve the qualities of the knot over time.
