Napoleon Shaving Set - Limited Edition

Created to celebrate the 215th anniversary of Maison Plisson, the Napoleon Shaving Set pays tribute to the Emperor who helped establish the House's reputation by appointing Plisson as his official supplier. This limited edition brings together the essentials of traditional wet shaving in an elegant set, handcrafted and assembled in France.

Its shaving brush features a Lazuli resin handle inspired by lapis lazuli and the iconic Napoleon Blue. This ornamental stone, closely associated with the Egyptian campaigns, inspired many artists and scientists of the era and gives this collection its distinctive and timeless character.

The set includes a shaving brush fitted with Plisson's High Mountain White-style synthetic fibre, appreciated for its softness, durability and hygienic qualities, a black acrylic stand for optimal drying, a Limoges porcelain shaving bowl and a ready-to-use shaving soap.

The handle is hand-turned by our artisan in keeping with the finest traditions of French luxury craftsmanship, reflecting the expertise and heritage that have defined Maison Plisson for more than two centuries.

The best time to shave is in the morning, just after a shower and before breakfast. At this time of day, the beard hair is softer and easier to cut, while the skin is less sensitive.

Prepare a rich lather using a shaving brush and your favourite Plisson shaving soap or cream. Apply the lather to your damp face using circular motions to lift and soften the beard hair. Shave in the direction of hair growth using light, controlled strokes. For a closer shave, reapply the lather and shave gently against the grain if your skin allows.

Finish by rinsing your face with cool water to refresh the skin, then apply an aftershave balm to soothe and moisturise.

To preserve the quality of your shaving brush for years to come, rinse the knot thoroughly after each use to remove any traces of shaving cream or soap. Gently remove excess water, then lightly dry the bristles with a towel before storing the brush upside down on a suitable stand.
