Collection 1808
The Scents of a French Heritage
For many, the first olfactory ritual of the morning has always begun with Plisson. The signature, historic scent of cedar and sandalwood in the shaving soap—followed by the soothing notes of the aftershave balm—left a lasting impression on the skin: the mark of French craftsmanship, at once understated and precise.
Today, Collection 1808 continues this tradition. Named in honor of the year the House was founded, it sustains an intimate dialogue between the hand, the gesture, and the fragrance. It is a meeting of memory and modernity, where scent becomes a natural extension of the ritual—a true art of living.

A collection inspired by a man and an era
Plisson’s first collection of niche fragrances is an ode to quiet strength, elegance, and inner discipline. Inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte—one of the Maison’s earliest and most loyal clients—the collection explores six facets of his destiny: his conquests, his exiles, his inner light, and his internal fire.
Each of the six scents evokes a chapter of this epic tale: the breath of the Mediterranean, the rigor of power, the gentleness of a morning in Ajaccio, the nobility of European forests, the drive of a builder, and the passion of a man consumed by his own ideal.
Behind every fragrance lies a clear intent: to interpret the spirit of a man who became a legend, and to celebrate the values that have long linked him to Plisson—precision, exacting standards, and a profound respect for the craft.
Creation – a dialogue between vision and craftsmanship
Conceived and orchestrated under the artistic direction of the House, The 1808 Collection is the result of a dialogue between vision and craftsmanship. Master perfumers were invited to interpret the spirit of Napoleon through the lens of the Plisson sensibility, guided by a shared commitment to excellence: the nobility of the ingredients, the precision of the accords, and the artistry of the execution.
From this encounter emerges a palette of olfactory emotions, crafted from exquisite raw materials—lavender, vetiver, cedar, amber, leather, orange blossom—each sensory texture developed with the same rigor applied to the creation of a guilloché-patterned razor handle.
Every composition is clear, distinctive, and balanced. While envisioned for a masculine persona, they also captivate anyone with an appreciation for subtle contrasts—fragrances that transcend gender and embody the very essence of French elegance.

The bottle – the hand, the material, the memory
At Plisson, the hand has always guided the form.
For over two centuries, our master craftspeople have practiced the art of guilloché—engraving delicate patterns into metal or horn—repeating the same precise motion until perfection is achieved.
It is this unique expertise that inspires the design of Collection 1808.
The heavy, square glass bottle stands as an anchor of stability, while an engraved feather motif—a symbol of lightness, momentum, and movement—traces its surface.
Atop the satin-gold cap, the House’s eagle emblem keeps watch with strength and intuition.
The feather reappears on the embossed outer packaging—subtle and ethereal—echoing the duality that runs throughout the entire collection: power and nuance, heritage and modernity.
Every detail has been conceived as an extension of the artisan’s touch, the craft itself, and the passage of time.
For a fragrance—much like a shaving brush or a razor—is not merely "designed"; it is shaped.
Conceived, manufactured, and assembled in France.
